The Community Volunteer Network (CVN) is a time and place for volunteer managers to gather and share ideas and tips, network, and learn about current trends and topics.  In December 2006, the CVN of the United Way of the Midlands and the Volunteer Coordinator Task Force of Volunteer Council Bluffs merged to better serve the volunteer managers.  The CVN meets every other month beginning in February on the first Thursday of the month.  Meetings are from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm and the location varies.  In the past topics have included legal issues facing nonprofits and volunteers, recruitment, writing position descriptions, and recognition.  The CVN is open to any volunteer manager whether it is their full time job or just one of many hats they wear.  For a schedule of meeting locations and topics, please contact us.
